January 12, 2020 was a phreatomagmatic eruption from its main crater that spewed ashes across Calabarzon, Metro Manila, and some parts of Central Luzon and Ilocos Region, resulting in the suspension of school classes, work schedules, and flights in the area.

So here’s my experience that day . My family prepared our bags with important things . We always waiting for the announce of the officials and we watch news for more knowlege about what is happening . At 3 o’clock in the evening we felt that there’s an earthquake. As the moment shaking of the ground we pray for our safety and i know that God will never leave us . We feel scared and nervous for every hour that earthquake always happening but really thankful because my mom hugged me tight and it makes me a little bit safe. Were wondering if its the Big one and everyone will die. I dont want to happend that because i have so many things i want to do and experience al also i want to achieve my dreams and my dreams for my family . After a week everything goes fine. Back to the school and there’s so much evacuees . That’s why our Prom night get postponed but im happy to see those smiles of evacuees that even what happened we still manage to smile and there’s always the love in each other. We also go to school that Saturday and send sacks of old clothes for the evacuees .
